The Walker/Wall Wedding

Dad and me just before we went in to St Romald's church, Romaldkirk - Sarah Wall for the very last time!

You cannot tell from the photo but I am very nervous at this point, clutching my flowers

My beautiful bridesmaids, Michelle, Adele & Kerry with my mum.

All 4 were fab on the day and did not stress me out at all. I was very lucky to have them all with me especially Michelle who came to the wedding from Melbourne, Australia!

And the deed was done, the ceremony was perfect with both of us saying our vows without tears or giggles. We were lucky enough to have to fantastic clergy, Kenny's father, Ken and our local priest, Stephen (originally from Nigeria) who both added their own sense of humour and charm.

The flowers were fabulous, a mixture of blue thistles and white & blue roses with closed Lillis and much greenery (All designed and created from us by our friend from the village, Rosi).

Walking back down the aisle was an amazing feeling, I am now Mrs Sarah Walker, let the party begin.

I had confetti in places you can not believe! (Mainly thanks to my Auntie Pauline!)

A Romaldkirk tradition, the local children tie the gates together until the groom & groomsmen throw over coins for them.

The bridal party, on the village green before the heavens opened.

We walked the entire wedding party across the village green to Low Green Farm and our marquee.

All whilst sipping champagne of course!

And then the rains came .................

The lucky few found doorways & umbrellas, we took shelter in an old barn.

My dress, it was so beautiful, I cannot believe I only get to wear it once.

Let there be music!
Kenny had arranged the most incredible bands, first Gaynor's cousin-in-law, Steve who played his guitar, next a ceilidh for the Scotts, followed by a funk soul covers band and finally a play list Kenny himself had mixed that took us up to 3am!! Thank you to the guys who managed to keep us company to the end.

I have found the link to the lodge in Ecuador. I will email you the details and also CC my pal Diana in, who can give you the skinny on more places to check out.
